Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream secondary school in Manchester seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND, including ASD and ADHD. The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP, in a supportive, inclusive school environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND is essential.
• Experience working with students with Autism / ASD and ADHD is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting students within a mainstream secondary school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND, including ASD and ADHD, in 1:1 and small-group settings.
• Help students engage with learning and develop independence in the classroom.
• Assist with behaviour management and classroom routines to support learning.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement tailored learning activities and support plans.
