Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a nurturing school in Trafford. You will provide 1:1 and classroom support for pupils across KS3 and KS4, assisting with behaviour management and personal care where required.

Start date is after October half term, and the role is full-time and long-term. The school supports pupils with ASD, ADHD and PMLD in a supportive environment, with market-leading pay and ongoing CPD opportunities through the My-Progression channel.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with ASD, ADHD and/or PMLD
• Confidence providing 1:1 and classroom-based support
• Experience supporting behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies
• Willingness to support with personal care where required
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and classroom support to pupils throughout the school day
• Assist with behaviour management and positive behaviour strategies

• Collaborate with teaching staff to support pupils across KS3 and KS4
