Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Secondary School Support Worker to join a welcoming school in the Kettering area. The role involves supporting 1:1 and small groups, aiding students with emotional and learning needs, and building positive relationships to foster inclusion.

Ideal candidates have experience in support work, mental health, SEN/SEND or related fields and are patient, resilient, and reliable for full-time work in Kettering.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to secondary-aged students.
  • Supporting young people with additional learning, social and emotional needs.
  • Helping students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Supporting students who may struggle with behaviour, confidence or emotional regulation.
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Encouraging independence, resilience and engagement with education.
  • Using positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
  • Supporting students within lessons and during targeted interventions.
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams.
  • Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment.

Are You Passionate About Supporting Young People? Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a Secondary School Support Worker to join a welcoming secondary school in the Kettering area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive difference to their education, confidence and emotional wellbeing. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in support work, mental health, SEN/SEND, behaviour support, youth work or care, who are looking to transfer their skills into a school environment. You don't necessarily need previous school experience, but you will need to be patient, resilient and confident supporting young people with a range of needs.


The Role


  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to secondary-aged students
