Barchester Healthcare is seeking a qualified Second Chef to deliver hotel and restaurant standards within a care home setting. You will assist the Head Chef, tailor nutritious menus with residents, and help create a warm, welcoming dining environment that supports wellbeing.

In the Head Chef's absence you will lead the kitchen, develop menus, work with fresh seasonal produce, manage budgets, complete regular audits and stock control, all while upholding HACCP and food safety.

Qualifikationen

• Personable and warm approach with genuine interest in residents' wellbeing.
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Good understanding of nutrition.
• Experience with fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming environment within the home.
• Confidence engaging with residents to create appetising and nutritious menus.
• Good understanding of HACCP.

• Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
