Science Teacher

Location: Tewkesbury

Pay: £168.80 - £243.45 per day

Type: Long-term/permanent

Hours: Full-time

Start date: 3rd November 2025

Elementa is recruiting for a Teacher of Science for this popular Secondary School on the outskirts of the Tewkesbury area of Gloucestershire.

The role is initially until December 5th, however, it could be extended up to July 2026.

The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to deliver engaging and comprehensive Science lessons that contribute to the educational success of students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons across different disciplines, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and contribute to a vibrant school community.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments within the Science curriculum and implement innovative teaching strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
• Demonstrable experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
• A strong background in Science subjects, with the ability to teach Physics, Chemistry, and Biology effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for inspiring students.
