Job summary

You will collaborate with science teachers to prepare equipment, safely maintain lab resources, oversee stock levels, and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste, while following health and safety standards and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check (clear).
• UK Science Degree or overseas equivalent.
• Experience in a school laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with science teachers to prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons.
• Safely maintain, store, and repair laboratory resources and equipment.
• Act as a safety advisor, guiding pupils and staff on proper protocols, regulations, and safe working practices.
• Oversee stock levels and place timely orders for new materials and replacements.
• Ensure the safe and compliant disposal of hazardous laboratory waste.
