Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a Worcestershire secondary school in recruiting a reliable Science Technician to support practical science lessons within a busy science department. The role emphasises safe handling of equipment, prep work, and assisting science teachers to deliver high-quality experiments.

You will ensure resources are well maintained, stocked, and in line with health & safety policies. Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required for the post.

Qualifications

• Health & Safety knowledge.
• Experience in a lab setting or as a Science Technician in a UK school.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and preparing practical lessons alongside the Science Teachers
• Ensuring equipment and materials are safely stored when not in use
• Guiding staff and pupils in correct Health & Safety policies
• Maintaining and repairing all resources when required
• Keeping track of what is out of stock and making the necessary orders when needed
• Disposing of hazardous waste in a safe manner
