Job summary

You will maintain laboratory resources, advise staff on health and safety, manage stock levels, and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste. A UK science degree and DBS are required, with a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety standards applicable to school laboratories.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting or as a school Science Technician in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check is required and valid in the UK.
• Valid right to work in the UK is essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with science teachers to prepare and set up equipment for practical lessons.
• Safely maintain, store, and repair laboratory resources and equipment.
• Advise on safety protocols and ensure compliant waste disposal.
• Oversee stock levels and place orders for materials.
