Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a reliable Science Technician for a busy 11-16 secondary school in Oxfordshire. You will support practical science lessons, prepare materials, and help staff maintain a safe, well-stocked lab.

The role requires a valid Enhanced DBS, the right to work in the UK, and experience in a UK school lab environment. You will contribute to high-quality practical lessons and uphold safety policies.

Qualifications

• Clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS
• Experience in a lab setting or as a Science Technician in a UK school
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Assisting and preparing practical lessons alongside the Science Teachers
• Ensuring equipment and materials are safely stored when not in use
• Guiding staff and pupils in correct Health & Safety policies
• Maintaining and repairing all resources when required
• Keeping track of what is out of stock and making the necessary orders when needed
• Disposing of hazardous waste in a safe manner
