Job summary

Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School in Stockport is seeking to appoint a School Site Supervisor (Caretaker) to maintain a safe and well-presented environment.

You will have DIY skills, health and safety awareness, and be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and contractors. The role includes opening/closing for lettings and requires flexibility for occasional late hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and grounds maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with children, parents, staff and contractors.
• Demonstrates reliability, calmness and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintain school premises to ensure safety and security.
• Carry out basic DIY, cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
• Monitor health and safety issues and address them promptly.
• Communicate with children, staff, parents, visitors and contractors.
• Open/close the school for lettings in the evening when required; typical hours 6am–6pm.
