Job summary

Choice Teachers is seeking a School Caretaker/Site Supervisor in Stockport. This full-time, Monday to Friday role is temporary to permanent with an ASAP start, reporting to the Facilities Manager to oversee the school site, buildings and grounds.

You’ll work with the premises and cleaning teams to keep the environment safe, compliant and well-presented for pupils and staff. Strong health & safety knowledge and reliable, proactive problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in site supervision, ideally in a school or similar environment.
• Experience of routine building maintenance and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
• Flexible, practical and proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Caretaker/Site Supervisor looking for a new role?

Our client, a welcoming and well-established school in the Stockport area, is seeking a proactive and organised caretaker to support with the day-to-day duties of the school premises. The Role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the operational duties of the school's buildings, grounds and facilities. You'll work with the premises and cleaning teams, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines practical maintenance, compliance, and team leadership.
