Job summary

The Westgate School is seeking a dedicated Premises & Maintenance Team Leader to oversee all non-compliance premises operations, manage the site team, and maintain high standards across buildings and grounds. You will lead maintenance, oversee the helpdesk responses, plan preventative maintenance, manage security, access, and contractor activities, and coordinate safety measures across the site.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in property maintenance, facilities, or a related trade.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Knowledge of maintenance or helpdesk systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate premises, maintenance, and caretaking staff, including cleaning.
• Oversee the maintenance helpdesk and coordinate responses to staff requests.
• Plan and deliver a programme of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Ensure the site and grounds are well maintained and presented.
• Manage site security, including key holding, alarm response, and incident reporting.
• Coordinate site access, lettings, and contractor activities.
• Maintain security logs and key registers; support health and safety and fire arrangements.
