Newstead Wood School is seeking a premises and grounds operative to manage routine and emergency opening and closing of the school premises and grounds, and to carry out security and evacuation procedures in line with policies.

You will support the Premises Manager by ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, manage alarm systems, minibus checks, contractor access, deliveries, lighting, lettings, heating, and general upkeep of buildings and gardens to keep the site safe and well

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Open and close school premises and grounds.
• Carry out security and evacuation procedures.
• Report concerns to the Premises Manager.
• Support health & safety compliance on site.
• Operate alarm systems and perform frost precautions.
• Carry out minibus safety checks.
• Coordinate contractor access during hours.
• Manage lettings and event readiness.
• Assist with heating and hot water plant procedures.
• Receive deliveries and manage stores.
• Maintain caretaking supplies and liaise with Finance.
• Move furniture and set up spaces for events.
• Clean and replace light sources.
• Oversee grounds maintenance and gardens.
