Job summary

The Westleigh School in Preston is seeking a reliable Minibus Driver to transport pupils to and from school activities and other destinations. This casual, term-time-only role requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week, with potential for additional hours as needed.

You will conduct pre-use checks, ensure the minibus is well maintained, and follow safeguarding procedures to support pupils and staff on every journey.

Qualifications

• Casual, term-time-only contract.
• Commit to working at least 10 hours per week.
• Experience transporting pupils is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport pupils and staff in line with school procedures.
• Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and report faults promptly.
• Keep the minibus clean, safe and in good condition.
• Plan and follow routes and schedules.
• Assist pupils getting on and off safely.
• Maintain a calm, friendly manner with pupils.
