Job summary

The Westleigh School is seeking a reliable Minibus Driver to join our transport team at our secondary school in Lancashire, on a casual, term-time-only basis. You will safely transport pupils and staff, carry out pre-use vehicle checks, keep the minibus clean, plan routes, and support safe boarding and alighting in line with safeguarding procedures.

The role requires a minimum of 10 hours per week, with occasional extra hours available depending on school needs.

Qualifications

• Safely transport pupils and staff in accordance with school procedures.
• Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and report faults.
• Ensure the minibus is kept clean, safe and in good condition.
• Plan and follow appropriate routes and schedules.
• Support pupils in getting on and off the vehicle safely.
• Maintain a calm, professional and friendly manner when working with pupils.
• Ensure journeys comply with safeguarding procedures.
