Job summary

Ascot Independent School is seeking a School Minibus Driver to transport pupils safely between home and school on designated routes. The role offers 20 hours per week during term time, with split shifts and holidays aligned to term dates.

You will be a calm, professional presence for pupils and parents, with duties including vehicle checks, registers, and adherence to safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Full UK minibus driving entitlement.
• Excellent knowledge of traffic rules and road safety.
• Clear spoken and written English.
• Reliable and punctual, with professional etiquette around pupils.

Responsibilities

• Transport pupils safely between home and school on designated routes.
• Complete daily passenger registers and follow pickup/drop-off procedures.
• Check routes and plan around roadworks or delays.
• Ensure seat belts are worn and promote safe behaviour on the minibus.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, tyres, screen wash).
• Report any mechanical or safeguarding concerns promptly.
• Keep the minibus clean and follow school safety procedures.
