Job summary

The Education Authority invites applications for a part-time Cook at Dungannon Primary School in Tyrone. Work pattern is 8am to 2:15pm, Monday to Friday, 28.75 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

You will assist the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor with meal preparation, portion control, hygiene checks and supervision of staff, contributing to a hygienic, efficient service for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Essential HACCP knowledge.
• Willingness to undertake job-related training.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Skilled cooking activities for a full range of meals.
• Record keeping and hygiene/health and safety responsibilities.
• Supervision of other staff or share supervision as required.
• Operational control of service points including transported meals.
• Stock-taking, stores and fridges management including deliveries.
• General kitchen duties and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist in promoting the service to parents, principals and customers.
• Duties delegated in connection with service provision.
