Job summary

Education Authority Tyrone-Strabane Integrated Primary School is seeking a Part-Time Catering Manager to oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations, Monday to Friday 8am–3pm (32.5 hours per week) with a 30-minute unpaid break.

You will lead the catering team, plan menus, manage deliveries and stock, ensure HACCP compliance and allergen controls, record temperatures, and promote the service to pupils, parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Hold NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or City & Guilds 706-1 & 706-2 or equivalent or higher relevant qualification OR have two years’ demonstrable experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Evidence of effective supervision or management of a catering team.
• Demonstrable experience in stock control, budget management and financial controls.
• Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and allergen handling.
• Willingness to undertake job-related training.
• Have access to a suitable vehicle for Education Authority mobility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day kitchen operations and lead catering team.
• Organise and supervise all aspects of food service, including deliveries and stock-take.
• Ensure HACCP compliance and allergen management; record temperatures.
• Promote the catering service to pupils, parents and staff.
• Investigate and report customer feedback and incidents to management.
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards in line with regulations.
