Job summary

St Patrick's College Dungiven is seeking a Cook to join the catering team on a part-time basis (27.50 hours per week). You will assist in meal preparation, manage hygiene and safety, and supervise staff as required by the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor.

The role involves stock control, menu planning support, and occasional training of staff. The successful candidate will have HACCP knowledge and at least two years of cooking experience in a catering setting, with a willingness to undertake

Qualifications

• Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) knowledge required.
• Willingness to undertake job-related training.
• Two years’ experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment, or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of menus and portion control.
• Maintain hygiene and safety, record temperatures.
• Supervise other staff on a shared basis.
• Handle stock-taking, stores, and deliveries.
• Assist in planning meals and kitchen administration as needed.
• Promote the service to parents, principals, and customers.
