Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a proactive School IT Technician for a busy secondary school in Newham. You will support a digital learning environment, handling frontline and second-line IT tasks across hardware, software, and networks.

The role focuses on maintaining teaching infrastructure, assisting with user accounts, deploying new equipment, and ensuring secure, efficient IT operations for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven IT support experience, preferably in education or corporate settings.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, AD and cloud productivity suites.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line IT support for staff and students across hardware, software and networks.
• Maintain and repair computers, interactive boards, printers, tablets and AV equipment.
• Assist with user accounts, password resets and network security under guidance of senior leads.
• Set up and deploy new IT equipment and software in classrooms and offices.
• Track IT requests and manage inventory with organized systems.
