Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an IT Technician for an elite school in Richmond, South West London. You will join a dedicated technical support team and ensure smooth operation of the IT infrastructure, classroom technology and devices.

Responsibilities include first-line support, hardware/software troubleshooting, setting up devices for lessons, and maintaining AV equipment. A DBS check is required or willingness to obtain one; applicants with school experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as IT Technician in a school or educational setting is essential.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to support staff and pupils.
• Understanding of educational IT environments.
• Patient and professional, able to work independently.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Set up laptops, computers and classroom devices.
• Maintain interactive displays and AV equipment.
• Install software and system updates.
• Support user accounts and access issues.
• Log and monitor support requests.
• Prepare technology for lessons and events.
• Escalate complex issues when needed.
