Job summary

Wimbledon High School, part of the GDST, is seeking an IT Technician to support teaching and staff with reliable technology in a leading independent girls’ school in London. You will manage hardware, software, printing, BYOD and iOS arrangements, ensuring smooth classroom and meeting tech.

Under the ICT Operations Manager, you will help maintain the IT environment, perform routine checks, and assist with upgrades while delivering customer-focused support in a busy school setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant IT qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Apple/iOS technology would be advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and common service desk systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical requests from staff and pupils.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printing and connectivity issues.
• Prepare and deploy devices, install approved software, and support BYOD and iOS arrangements.
• Assist with routine system checks, account administration, security updates and equipment records.
• Ensure classroom, meeting and presentation technology is ready for use.
