Job summary

Wimbledon High School is seeking an ICT Technician to provide practical, customer-focused IT support for staff and pupils. You will diagnose hardware, software, network and access issues and keep users informed as you resolve problems.

You will deploy devices, install approved software, support BYOD and iOS arrangements, and help ensure that classroom and meeting technology is ready for use. Under the ICT Operations Manager, you will assist with system checks and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer-focused IT support
• Practical understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networks and common applications
• A relevant IT qualification or equivalent practical experience is required

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical requests from staff and pupils, diagnosing issues and keeping users informed
• Prepare and deploy devices, install approved software, support BYOD and iOS arrangements
• Ensure classroom, meeting and presentation technology is ready for use
• Assist with routine system checks, account administration and security updates
