Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is helping an outstanding secondary school in Peterborough, England, to recruit an IT Support Technician for its technical team. This hands-on role provides 1st and 2nd line support across a range of users, systems and devices.

You will diagnose and resolve Windows and Microsoft 365 issues, install and maintain PCs, peripherals and software, and support networking, servers, backups and security. A 2+ year IT support background is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an IT support environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Good understanding of networking and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to prioritise and manage multiple issues effectively.
• Proactive approach with a genuine interest in technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support via phone, email and on-site.
• Diagnose and resolve Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure and maintain PCs, peripherals and software.
• Support user accounts, devices and basic networking.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, deployments and IT projects.
• Provide support across servers, backups and security systems.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents through to completion.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain a reliable IT environment.
