Job summary

Planet Recruitment is seeking an IT Manager for an education-focused role in Oxford and Abingdon. You will oversee the curriculum and administrative ICT network, including hardware and software, ensuring security, availability and reliable performance to support teaching and learning.

The role involves collaborating with the Senior Management team on IT strategy, project plans and service improvements, plus staff training.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years as IT Manager/Network Manager in a school environment.
• Experience upgrading school IT networks and providing staff training.
• Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage the school's network infrastructure and ICT applications.
• Monitor and maintain switches, server environments, Microsoft 365 and backups.
• Provide technical advice and training to staff for effective system use.
• Oversee daily IT operations and respond to requests promptly.
• Line-manage ICT support staff and deliver weekly service updates.
• Prepare monthly service reviews and enforce school policies.
