Job summary

Planet Recruitment is seeking an IT Manager for an MSP in the education sector around Oxford and Abingdon. You will oversee the curriculum and administrative ICT network, hardware and software infrastructure, and ensure security and stability for teaching and learning.

You will collaborate with the Senior Management team to develop IT infrastructure, manage ICT staff, and provide 2nd/3rd line support with weekly updates and monthly service reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience as IT Manager/Network Manager in a school setting (2-3 years).
• Understanding of school IT infrastructure and security.
• Experience upgrading a school IT network.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage the school's network infrastructure and ICT based applications.
• Monitor and maintain key systems including switches, virtual & physical server environments, Microsoft 365 and backups.
• Provide technical advice, training and support to staff to enable them to make effective use of systems.
• Day to day management of all IT operations ensuring all requests are dealt with in an efficient manner
• Monitoring and maintaining of all key systems including switches, virtual & physical server environments and backups.
• Line manage and take responsibility for the work of the ICT support staff.
• 2nd/3rd line support.
• Weekly service update email and monthly service review report including SLA reporting.
• Enforcing and monitoring in line with school policies.
• Training of internal staff.
