Job summary

hireful is recruiting an IT Manager for a schools-focused IT services role in the Oxford area. You will oversee the ICT network, including hardware and software infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security and availability across curriculum and administration systems.

The position requires experience as a Senior ICT Technician or IT Manager in a school setting, with strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, Hyper‑V and cloud technologies like Office 365/Azure.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 2nd/3rd line IT support in an education environment.
• Knowledge of switches, server environments, backups and network maintenance.
• Communicates effectively across all levels and adapts to school environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management, installation, maintenance, availability and security of the ICT network and hardware/software in the school.
• Manage the school ICT support contract including technical support and emergency cover.
• Contribute to upgrading and maintaining Windows Server, AD, Hyper‑V and cloud services.
