Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an ICT Support role responsible for the curriculum and administrative ICT network across multiple trust schools. The role includes device management, helpdesk support, staff training, and travel between sites to ensure reliable teaching and administrative ICT services.

The post requires Enhanced DBS clearance and the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications.
• Experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience of ICT-related problem solving.
• Willingness to undertake training in Trust systems.
• Ability to manage priorities in a pressurised environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Manage, install, maintain and secure the curriculum and administrative ICT network, hardware and software infrastructure.
• Plan and implement the Trust ICT strategy and service provision with the Head of IT.
• Carry out proactive checks so curriculum infrastructure is fit for purpose.
• Manage all devices so each pupil has a fully functioning learning device.
• Provide technical problem solving on hardware and software issues for staff and pupils.
• Train and instruct staff in ICT systems and support ICT-related inductions.
• Maintain the asset register, stock of spares and consumables, and health and safety compliance.
