Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a mobile IT support technician to serve schools within the REAch2 Academy Trust, visiting a different school each day. You will install and maintain hardware and software on site and escalate faults as needed.

Travel between site locations is required; a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential. Flexible hours, part-time and term-time options may be available, with DBS checks as part of eligibility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Good knowledge of network security.
• Understanding of IT software and hardware.
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Full driving licence and access to own transport.
• Enhanced DBS check, with Children's Barred List check if the role is regulated activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to Shared Services and school staff on site.
• Install and maintain IT hardware and software in schools.
• Attend school sites across the cluster.
• Escalate more complex issues where appropriate.
• Act as the front-line face of the IT Services department.
