Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting a Secondary Janitor at Biggar High School, Biggar, ML12 6AG. This 37-hour-per-week, term-time post is temporary until 22 December 2026. The hourly rate ranges from £14.51 to £14.83.

Responsibilities

• Ensure unit grounds are kept in a safe and tidy order, free from dangerous articles ensuring Health and safety of staff and visitors.
• Monitor activities of lessees and contractors, reporting issues to line manager.
• Log, monitor and report all damage/faults in relation to the fabric and fixtures.
• Liaise with external contractors and lessees, ensuring Health and Safety and security procedures are adhered to.
• Communicate with Facilities Manager, Head of Establishment/Lessees and Team Members to meet daily customer needs.
