Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join the Facilities team at Larkhall Academy. This term-time, 30-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–3pm, and is temporary until 22 December 2026.

The hourly rate is £14.12–£14.27, with benefits including the local government pension scheme, generous annual leave, and sick pay. The role involves cleaning floors, furniture and sanitary areas, ensuring standards are met and reporting health and safety issues to management;

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning floors, furniture, fixtures and sanitary areas.
• Ability to monitor cleaning standards in line with specifications and COSHH.

• Carry out cleaning of floors, furniture, and sanitary areas.
• Monitor standards of cleaning and report health and safety issues to management.
• Set up rooms for lets and act as onsite lead for safety reporting.
