Job summary

We are looking to recruit a Secondary Janitor at Biggar High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of all documentation relating to the janitorial and cleaning function within the premises.

The post holder will ensure unit grounds are kept in a safe and tidy order, monitor lessee's and contractors, and log damage or faults while liaising with external contractors to uphold Health and Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial and cleaning operations.
• Ability to monitor and report health and safety issues.
• Good communication with contractors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain janitorial and cleaning documentation.
• Keep grounds tidy and safe; ensure Health and Safety of staff and visitors.
• Monitor contractors and lessees; report issues to line manager.
• Log and report damage or faults to fabric and fixtures.
• Liaise with external contractors ensuring safety procedures are followed.
• Communicate effectively with Facilities Manager and team to meet customer needs.
