A leading recruitment agency is looking for a temporary part-time School Caretaker in Staffordshire. The role involves ensuring the school premises are safe and well-maintained during school hours, as well as conducting basic maintenance tasks. Candidates should have prior experience in caretaking or maintenance, preferably within an educational setting, and must hold an enhanced DBS clearance. Work is part-time, 20 hours a week, from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or site support role is required.
• Experience working within a school or education setting is desirable.
• Ability to carry out basic maintenance and repair tasks is essential.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements is necessary.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is due.
• Must be reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure the school site during working hours.
• Carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs.
• Monitor the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities.
• Respond to health and safety issues and report defects.
• Support contractors and deliveries on site.
• Ensure communal areas, classrooms, and external spaces are well maintained.
• Assist with setting up rooms and moving furniture where required.
