Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. in Warminster is seeking a General Assistant to support fast-paced catering operations at our school site. You will help serve customers, replenish stocks, and maintain clean service areas throughout service periods.

The role requires good English, teamwork, and a willingness to work evenings or weekends for functions. A food hygiene certificate is preferred, with extensive onboarding and opportunities for development within a leading contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced catering environments preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Adherence to hygiene and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, cleaning.
• Prepare all service areas for the day’s business relating to meal service.
• Prepare, set-up, serve, clear, clean and store away food, beverages or equipment for functions.
• Prepare basic food following hygiene standards and to required specifications.
• Restock and replenish stocks and consumables during service periods and assist with wastage control.
• Handle rubbish disposal and recycling in the correct places.
• Occasionally work evenings and/or weekends for functions and events.
• Adhere to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen controls.
