Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in High Wycombe is seeking a General Assistant to join our fast-paced catering team. This full-time, permanent role supports service across multiple meals with a 7-day operation and 5 shifts over 7 days, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.

You will work with a great team, maintain high service standards, and handle basic food prep, customer service, and stock replenishment while adhering to hygiene and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Hold a level 2 food Hygiene qualification.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience in customer and/or food preparation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, cleaning.
• Prepare service areas for daily meals and events.
• Set up, serve, clear, and store away food, beverages or equipment as required.
• Prepare basic food for sale/service following hygiene practices and standards.
• Restock stocks and consumables during service to ensure smooth delivery.
• Dispose of rubbish properly and recycle where appropriate.
• Occasionally work evenings and/or weekends for functions and events.
• Adhere to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen controls.
