Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd seeks a General Assistant to join one of our locations in Woking. You will support daily catering services, handle stock replenishment, and help prepare and serve food with a focus on safety and hygiene. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and may include evenings or weekend events.

Ideal candidates will have basic food hygiene knowledge, good English, and a friendly, reliable attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to a busy team setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced catering environment preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and stand independently.
• Practical food handling and hygiene responsibilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Support team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, cleaning.
• Prepare service areas for daily operations.
• Prepare, set-up, serve, clear, clean and store food, beverages or equipment for events.
• Prepare basic food for sale following hygiene standards.
• Restock stocks and consumables during service to meet customer needs.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling.
• Occasionally work evenings and weekends for events.
• Ensure food hygiene and health & safety policies are followed.
