Job summary

Thomas Franks is a founder-led fresh food catering business in Colchester. We are looking for a General Assistant to support daily catering in a busy school setting, with term-time hours and occasional overtime.

You will join a friendly team handling serving, setup, cleaning and basic food prep, while ensuring hygiene standards and customer service quality are maintained. On-site role with benefits and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced catering environment is preferred.
• Term-time only, 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and replenish stocks during service.
• Prepare service areas for each day’s business.
• Set up, serve, clear, clean and store food, beverages, and equipment.
• Follow hygiene, safety and allergen procedures.
• Occasionally work evenings and/or weekends for events.
