A local primary school located in Cramlington is seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain a secure and clean environment for students. The successful candidate will ensure classroom cleanliness, manage cleaning supplies, and collaborate with the site team. The role is part-time, offering 10 hours per week, with an annual salary of £5,782 pro rata. This position is initially fixed-term until December 2026, with potential for permanency, and prioritizes safeguarding the welfare of children.
An opportunity has arisen at Ss Peter and Paul’s Catholic School for a School Cleaner to join our team, taking pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our learners by keeping cleanliness to a high standard and undertaking necessary procedures to assist with day‑to‑day maintenance.
As part of our wider school team, you will have responsibility for the overall cleanliness and security of the school classrooms and site, having awareness of security policies, maintaining supplies of cleaning materials, and working with other members of the site team to keep the site to a standard expected by leadership and management.

Salary BB01 £24,413 per annum pro rata, actual £5,782 per annum. *This post attracts a Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £13.45 an hour.*
Hours: 10 hours per week, term time only plus 9 additional days (2 hours per day: either 6:30 am‑8:30 am OR 3:30 pm‑5:30 pm). Required from: as soon as possible. Fixed‑term post: initially to 31 December 2026 with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will work under supervision.
