Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd, based in Wales, is seeking a Scheme Manager to oversee two residential schemes in Abergavenny. The role focuses on resident wellbeing, strong community links, and a high-quality housing management service across sites.

You will proactively check resident wellbeing, respond to concerns and work with partners to promote engagement while maintaining professional boundaries. DBS check is required and a driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housing, scheme manager or a similar resident-facing role.
• A good understanding of housing management and tenancy-related responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine commitment to resident wellbeing and delivering a positive customer experience.
• Confidence to organise activities and develop community partnerships.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently across multiple locations.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between schemes may be required.
• Ability and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.

A Newport-based housing association is looking for aScheme Managerto oversee the day-to-day management of two residential schemes inAbergavenny.

This is a highly resident-focused role, ideal for someone with experience in housing or scheme management who enjoys building positive relationships, supporting resident wellbeing and creating strong, connected communities.

You will provide a visible and approachable presence across the schemes, ensuring residents receive a high-quality housing management service. You will carry out regular wellbeing checks, respond appropriately to concerns and work closely with colleagues and external partners to promote resident engagement and community involvement.

This isnot a care role, but it does require a compassionate and professional approach, with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries while supporting residents.
