Southern Housing is offering an initial temporary contract for 3-6 months, with a view to extension or a permanent position for the right candidate. The role is based at TN31 6QE and focuses on supporting tenancy sustainment and managing housing schemes.

You will work with internal council departments and external agencies to maintain safe, secure and well-maintained schemes, provide tenancy advice, monitor compliance and assist residents to sustain their tenancies.

Competenze

• Experience of housing management, tenancy services, scheme management or a customer-facing role.
• Knowledge of tenancy conditions and housing management procedures.

• Support tenancy sustainment, promote resident wellbeing and independence, address housing management issues and work with internal council departments, external agencies and service providers to maintain safe, secure and sustainable housing schemes.
• Manage the day-to-day housing management of designated council housing schemes, ensuring properties and communal areas are safe, clean, secure and well maintained.
• Provide advice and assistance to residents on tenancy matters, housing policies, repairs, rent accounts and other housing-related enquiries.
• Undertake regular scheme inspections and identify maintenance issues, raising repair requests and monitoring progress through to completion.
• Support residents to sustain their tenancies, addressing issues such as antisocial behaviour, tenancy breaches, neighbour disputes and property condition concerns.
• Identify residents who may require additional support and refer them to appropriate council services, health professionals or external support agencies.
• Monitor tenancy compliance, investigate reports of unauthorised occupation, misuse of communal facilities and other housing management concerns.

Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Southern Housing who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Scheme Housing Officer this role will be based at: TN31 6QE

The right candidate will:

• To support tenancy sustainment, promote resident wellbeing and independence, address housing management issues and work collaboratively with internal council departments, external agencies and service providers to maintain safe, secure and sustainable housing schemes.
• Manage the day-to-day housing management of designated council housing schemes, ensuring properties and communal areas are safe, clean, secure and well maintained.
• Provide advice and assistance to residents on tenancy matters, housing policies, repairs, rent accounts and other housing-related enquiries.

We require the following:

• Experience of housing management, tenancy services, scheme management or a customer-facing role within a housing or local authority environment.
• Knowledge of tenancy conditions, housing management procedures and the importance of maintaining safe and well-managed residential schemes.
