Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Scheme Housing Officer on a 3 months contract with a Local Authority in the East Dean area. You will provide housing management and tenancy support across multiple independent living schemes, ensuring residents receive a high‑quality service and schemes are well managed, safe and compliant with housing policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management, tenancy support, or similar roles.
• Strong customer service and resident engagement skills.
• Experience dealing with complaints and enquiries.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Experience building relationships with partner organisations.
• Good IT and record management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support residents across multiple housing schemes.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and residents.
• Respond to customer enquiries, concerns and complaints.
• Carry out tenancy management and housing support activities.
• Develop positive relationships with residents and partner agencies.
• Support residents to maintain their independence and wellbeing.
• Identify and resolve tenancy and scheme-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records and case notes.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
• Promote resident engagement and community involvement.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
