Job summary

Southern Housing in Croydon is seeking a Scheduler for a TEMP TO PERM role. The successful candidate will manage repair works scheduling through the in-house appointments system and allocate tasks to trade operatives and subcontractors, ensuring rapid turnaround.

You will monitor job status, update IT systems and PDAs, and keep all appointments and schedules on track daily. Experience in a maintenance/housing environment and a customer-focused approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule works orders through the in-house appointments system and allocate repairs to trade operatives and subcontractors.
• Plan and schedule responsive repair works to be carried out by operatives and sub-contract resources.
• Ensure IT systems are operated effectively and operatives use PDAs; update schedule of rate codes correctly.
• Monitor repairs and update job status daily, including booked appointments, overdue jobs and follow-on works.

I am currently representing Southern Housing who are offering TEMP TO PERM position for the right candidate.

We are looking for a Scheduler this role will be based at: Unit 11, The Tramsheds, Coomber Way, Croydon, London, CR0 4TQ

The right candidate will:

• To ensure that works orders are scheduled through the In-house appointments system, repairs works are allocated to trade operatives, and all works are carried out with minimal average turnaround time.
• To plan and schedule the responsive repair works to be carried out by the operatives and sub-contract resource.
• Ensure IT systems are operated effectively, operatives are using and updating their PDAs appropriately and schedule of rate codes are inputted correctly.
• To ensure repairs are monitored and updated on an ongoing basis in relation to job status, including jobs raised booked within target time, cancelled works orders, repairs without appointments, overdue jobs and all follow on jobs are actioned by the end of each day.

We require the following:

• Experience of scheduling work within a maintenance environment.
• Experience of delivering a front-line, customer-focused service.
• Experience of working within a housing management or maintenance environment.
