Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Java Software Engineer for a major UK defence programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This hands-on role focuses on developing scalable cloud-based software within a modern Agile environment.

You will work on cloud-native Java, microservices, containerisation and DevSecOps across the software lifecycle, with Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD tools. Active SC clearance and sole UK national status are required.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Java development experience.
• Cloud services / cloud-native development.
• Unit and automated testing.
• Spring / Spring Boot and microservices.
• Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift.
• CI/CD and DevSecOps experience.
• SonarQube, Tekton, ArgoCD, Quarkus or Angular beneficial.
