Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Java Software Engineer for a major UK defence programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This hands-on role focuses on developing scalable cloud-based software within a modern Agile environment.

You will work on cloud-native Java, microservices, containerisation and DevSecOps across the software lifecycle, with Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD tools. Active SC clearance and sole UK national status are required.

Java Software Engineer – Active SC

£70 per hour Umbrella | Inside IR35 | 12 Month Contract | Newcastle upon Tyne (4 days per week onsite, 1 remote working) | UKEO

We’re looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a major UK defence programme, developing scalable cloud-based software within a modern Agile engineering environment.

This is a hands-on Java development role, with a strong cloud-native focus and exposure to containerisation and DevSecOps throughout the software lifecycle.
