Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment is seeking an IT Technical Analyst for permanent, onsite or hybrid work patterns in the UK. The role covers hands-on hardware, software, and infrastructure support across regional sites in Stevenage and surrounding areas.

You will balance desk-side user support with involvement in infrastructure maintenance, procurement, and IT projects driven by Agile methodologies. A 2+ year track record and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT support or infrastructure administration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Windows OS, Active Directory, MS Office; familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow), hardware repair, and basic networking/security.
• Strong troubleshooting, customer service mindset, clear communication, and process compliance.

Responsibilities

• User Support: Deliver desk-side help desk support, resolve tickets (ServiceNow), and create end‑user training materials.
• Systems & Infrastructure: Maintain PCs, servers, networks (LAN/WAN), Active Directory, backups, and air‑gapped systems.
• Compliance & Procurement: Own site KPIs, handle hardware/software procurement, and maintain security controls (SOX, Cyber Essentials, CMMC).
• Operations: Join on‑call rotations and apply continuous improvement methods to reduce costs and boost efficiency.
