Job summary

Whitehall Resources is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer / SME for an initial 3-month contract in Cumbria. The role requires Active SC clearance and is inside IR35.

You will lead technical delivery, manage Privilege Management for Windows, AD, GPO, SCCM, and PowerShell automation, while mentoring the team and aligning training requirements with project needs. Candidate will stay current with Windows Server/Desktops,Server OS, patching cycles, and drive continuous improvement within

Qualifications

• SC clearance required.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Strong Windows infrastructure management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Privilege Management for Windows using Avecto Defendpoint.
• Group Policy Management.
• Active Directory Management.
• Windows Device stack management (Desktop and Server).
• SCCM Management (Device Group, Application Packaging, Deployment).
• SCCM Patching and testing.
• Task Automation using PowerShell.
• Lead the Team Technically.
• Manage team technical roles and development.
• Understand training needs and arrange/lead upskilling as needed.
• Be a sounding board for issues and lead conversations when required.
• Stay up to date with team and tech focus areas (Windows 7/10/11, server 2003 - 2022).
• Have awareness of the technology stack supported across the area.
