Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited is seeking a friendly Sales Team Member to join our Yeovil store. This part‑time seasonal role focuses on helping customers find the right products and maintaining high standards of presentation, stock control and merchandising.

You will work in a team, develop product knowledge, and provide excellent service. Prior customer-facing experience helps, but training is offered to support your growth in a welcoming retail environment.

• Good IT literacy and willingness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

Description

We’re looking for a friendly and proactive Sales Team Member to join our store team. This is a customer-facing role where you’ll help deliver an outstanding shopping experience, support day-to-day store operations, and contribute to a positive, knowledgeable, and solution-focused environment.

About The Role

Contract: Temporary - 1 Month

Hours: Part-time

Hours of Work: 15 Hours per week

As a Sales Team Member, you’ll play a key role in helping customers find the right products, maintaining high standards of presentation, and supporting stock control and merchandising.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering excellent customer service and supporting counter duties
• Building product knowledge across the full range, with a focus on assigned categories
• Investigating and resolving on-shelf gaps and maintaining availability
• Merchandising product categories to ensure visual appeal
• Assisting with stock accuracy, seasonal adjustments, and stocktaking

About You

• A genuine interest in customer service and retail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
• You’ll be confident, approachable, and self-motivated, with a flexible and team-oriented attitude. Experience in customer-facing roles is a bonus, but not essential, we’re happy to support your development.
