Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited is seeking a Customer Experience Team Member for its store in St Columb. This role is part-time and temporary, with 20 hours per week on a rota basis.

You will help customers find products, provide expert advice, promote offers and our membership scheme, and contribute to achieving store KPIs while maintaining high store standards. Strong communication, a genuine interest in retail, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficiency with computers and learning new systems is required.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks.
• Awareness of GDPR and health & safety standards.

About The Role

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Part-time

Hours of Work: 20 Hours per week, working on a rota basis

As a Customer Experience Team Member, you’ll be at the heart of our store — helping customers find the right products, offering expert advice, and creating a welcoming environment. You’ll work closely with your team to deliver a high-quality retail experience, support sales targets, and ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering friendly, knowledgeable, and solution-focused service
• Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their needs
• Promoting current offers and recommending suitable products
• Supporting the delivery of sales targets and store KPIs
• Handling customer queries and taking ownership of follow-up
• Demonstrating strong product knowledge across all departments
• Promoting our membership scheme and processing transactions accurately
• Maintaining high standards of store presentation and stock awareness
• Following health & safety procedures and safe working practices

About You

• A genuine interest in customer service and retail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
• You’ll be confident, approachable, and self-motivated, with a flexible and team-oriented attitude. Experience in customer-facing roles is a bonus, but not essential, we’re happy to support your development.
