Job summary

Hitachi Energy is expanding its sales leadership in the UK, focusing on key Utility and EPC customers. The role requires senior management experience, strong relationship-building, and the ability to lead a team to deliver large-scale, end-to-end energy solutions.

You will drive strategic account plans, negotiate major contracts, and represent Hitachi Energy at industry events, developing long-term, value-based partnerships across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Senior sales management experience in a related sector.
• Proven ability to manage strategic Utility and EPC customer relationships.
• Track record of developing accounts to increase lifetime value.
• Proven experience in driving business development strategies.
• Strong customer and stakeholder management, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; listener and presenter.

Responsibilities

• Identify key business drivers of customers and interpret impact for Hitachi Energy.
• Lead development of the sales team and shape strategies for priority accounts.
• Establish and develop senior account relationships based on defined strategy.
• Maintain knowledge of customer business strategy, buying behavior, decision-makers and market trends.
• Lead conversations and influence at board level in internal and external forums.
• Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events and lead round tables/panels.
• Develop a clear pipeline of opportunities and manage forecasts.
• Ensure the team sells the full service portfolio and negotiate major contracts.
