At Helvar, we seek an enthusiastic Specification Sales Manager to join our sales team at Helvar UK, within our Lighting Intelligence division. The role involves selling Helvar's lighting control solutions in London, visiting existing customers, building relationships, and proactively seeking new projects. You will ensure a straightforward sales process focused on the customer, leveraging networking to attract new client groups and identify growth opportunities.

Role Responsibilities:

• Identify and build relationships with Light Designers and Consultants relevant to Helvar
• Develop relationships with contractors, wholesalers, lighting designers, investors, and tenants
• Seek new projects and engage decision-makers to increase sales in London
• Develop lighting management activities in major London projects
• Use CRM systems to log project info, calls, visits, and quotes
• Promote Helvar’s Lighting Intelligence solutions consultatively
• Meet or exceed sales and profitability targets
• Engage with M&E consultants to build a strong specifications pipeline
• Coordinate with project stakeholders for seamless integration
• Attend industry exhibitions as needed
• Plan and deliver CPD seminars with marketing support

Ideal Candidate Skills:

• Proven experience in modern sales processes, understanding tools, margins, and credit risk
• Sales experience in lighting controls, HVAC, building automation, or related fields
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize
• Effective communicator with influencing skills
• Ability to present and influence at all levels
• Customer service-oriented with a flexible approach
• Based in London with regional and international travel as needed
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
• Lighting controls background is advantageous but not essential
